A concert for Britten’s birthday (22 November 1913), featuring his A Charm of Lullabies, Op.41, a song cycle for mezzo-soprano and piano, consisting of five songs composed on poems by William Blake, Robert Burns, Robert Greene, Thomas Randolph and John Phillip. The music will be interspersed with fascinating reflections on Britten, with slides, from Dr Nicholas Clark (Britten Pears Arts)
