An exciting and fun singing workshop for children and adults of all abilities, exploring Benjamin Britten’s Noye’s Fludde.
This one-act opera, written especially for amateur performers and children, was first performed at the Aldeburgh Festival in 1958 and is based on the 15th-century Chester mystery play telling the story of Noah’s Ark. In the opera, Noye hears God’s warning of the coming flood and builds an ark to save his family and a lively procession of animals – played by children.
Join us for a relaxed afternoon discovering and singing music from one of Britten’s most beloved works. Come as you are or dress up as your favourite animal ready to board the ark!
Loan of scores, tea/biscuits included in the ticket price.
